The fashion world of Jean Paul Gaultier

Last Friday, my cousin and I checked out the Jean Paul Gaultier exhibition at the Barbican (click here for more info). I had only been to the Barbican once before, for the Victor & Rolf exhibition. Though I never really paid specific attention to Gaultier's designs, I absolutely loved the exhibition. Gaultier's detailing and absolutely crazy (in a good way) ideas are mind blowing. If you're in London, you really can't miss this exhibition. However I'm aware that most of you might not be able to visit this exhibition so I made tons of photos to show you the best bits. The exhibition is kind of huge so prepare yourself for a picture-heavy post!

Love the photo below by Miles Aldridge from Numeró magazine in 2007. The shoot was called immaculeé #3

I love the photograph below, I think it's mesmerizing. It's by Sølve Sundsbø, a Norwegian photographer who, I found out, went to my uni back in the nineties. The photo is from a shoot called Invitation à la danse and appeared in Numeró magazine in 2008

My favourite room of the exhibition was Urban Jungle

Love the mix of patterns, fabrics and textures in this dress.

Did you enjoy scrolling through these photos? A picture never shows what something is like in real life so please, if you can, go visit this exhibition. It will leave you in awe and full of inspiration :) the exhibition runs till August 25th so you've still got time.
