Foam Roller | Triggerpoint The Grid

So a few months ago I was at the gym and just finished my work out. I had seen some people using foamrollers but I had no clue how to use it. I wanted to try it! So I asked an instructor to teach me a thing or two about foam rolling. After that first time foam rolling, I was a total convert; what a great little thing! I'll explain to you what foam rolling is and why I love it.

Vogue x Blake Lively

I usually don't share this type of thing but I absolutely love this semi-spontaneous interview with Blake. It's really fun to watch, and Blake is SO beautiful (click here if you can't watch it). I can't wait to see what else she has in store the next few years!

Let's talk sports bras

The sports bra, an often underestimated piece of exercising equipment. In my opinion, having a good sports bra is just as important as a pair of good sports shoes. You may be young now, but what may seem perky today might change within the next 10 years ;) That's why you need to support your whole body while working out, not only with good shoes but also with a good sports bra.

Amsterdam first impressions

Time for an update about my first one and a half week in Amsterdam. I already love it here, the city, the weather (lucky I guess), my internship, the cute cafés, the canals and the bikes everywhere. I’m not completely familiar with the city and streets yet, but I’ve been walking around a lot so I’m slowly getting there. I haven't been blogging so much since I need to adapt a bit to working life, but I update my Instagram every day :)

Spain picture diary

In between leaving London and going to Amsterdam, I managed to squeeze in a mini-break to sunny Spain. Just 5 days of tanning, eating and relaxing with my brother and sister was enough to charge my batteries and get a bit of a tan. I packed some bikinis, shorts and sunscreen and off we went. Ultimate relaxation mode!

Juice & Salad Café

After work yesterday I had to run some errands, but I also found some time to have dinner in the sun because it was steaming hot and I'm always on the hunt for some good food. I decided to walk along the Prinsengracht (canal) and see what I could find. I quickly stumbled upon Juice & Salad Café, and because of the name (perfect combo) and the cute mint green benches outside I decided I had found my dinner spot.

New chapter

Hello new home! Some of you might have guessed it: Amsterdam will be my home for the next few months. I started my internship here this week and I'm right in the middle of getting my life sorted over here. I'm still homeless (kinda) but hope to change that soon and get settled at last! I'll be quite busy with my internship, but I hope to discover many little places in Amsterdam, just like I did in London. Of course I'll keep you updated on every single thing I do and especially, eat ;) Please leave tips in the comments, I know close to nothing about Amsterdam!

Gelupo Gelato

I still owe you part two of my last post. Before entering Bocca Di Lupo we spotted Bocca's little sister, Gelupo. As my sister is a big ice cream lover, we decided we had to go there after dinner, to try some of London's best gelato. I'm not the biggest ice cream fan, but oh my, I'm a gelato convert!

Bocca di Lupo

During my last week in London, my sister joined me to try out a final few places before permanently leaving the city. On a Thursday night, we headed into Soho on the look for dinner. We tried at Bocca Di Lupo and got a spot at the bar pretty much right away (for a table you'll need to book a few weeks in advance). Having heard so many good things about this place, I was looking forward to a nice evening catching up with my sister while enjoying some excellent Italian food.

How to keep fit on holiday

Now that it's summer and you might have worked your butt off to get in good shape, there's no reason why you should let all that hard work go to waste. Holidays are all about relaxing, eating good food and generally enjoying life. I'm totally for eating whatever you want on holiday, time to treat yourself! But you could sneak in some activity here and there to stay fit. I've put together some things you can do to stay active while still enjoying your beach holiday or city trip.

Goodbye London

Today's the day that I'm leaving London. For three years, I studied and lived in this amazing city and I couldn't be more happy and grateful. London has definitely made me more independent and mature, I've made some friends for life and memories I will cherish forever (sorry if that sounds cheesy but it's the truth!) I truly fell in love with London and I'm sure I'll come back to this city sometime soon. It's been such a pleasure discovering this city and sharing my journey with you on this blog. Though my blog has been quite London-focused up till now, it's time for a new adventure, a new city to discover. I'll tell you more about it soon! For now, feel free to leave any questions you want about London or anything else you're curious about. I'll gladly reply to them :) (or email me at Thank you London!

Monday, July 7, 2014 portable iPhone charger

So we can all admit that our smartphones are pretty much glued to our hands. But with all the instagramming, tweeting and texting we do, comes a problem (a first world problem that is): batteries that run out in the middle of the day. A bit irritating, especially when you're out and won't be home until much later. But here comes to the rescue! I bought the cutest little iPhone charger from Californian brand and I'm in love with it.

You know those things that people always ask about where it's from etc? is a brand that kind of makes those kinds of things. From the cutest key pouches to tumblers, iPhone cases to hair ties, everything makes, you'll love it and need it once you see it. That's what I thought when I saw this little charger. It's quite small, lightweight and of course very pretty. It charges your iPhone up to 80% so it's perfect for a day out or traveling; it's my new handbag essential. Love love love! (get yours here, I got mine at Anthropology on Kings's Road, London)

London streetfood: Savage Salads

Not a full review today (some coming up soon though!), but just a tip about some great streetfood in Soho. Berwick Street Market is one of London's many markets, smaller than most but just as good, if not better. There's some really good food stands here and when walking past Savage Salads there's the incredible smell of grilled chicken with thyme. It went straight on my London-to-eat list and today I finally got to try it out. It's so good, no wonder this stand has the longest queue, just look at this!

Pink summer salad

Ever thought a salad could be pink? Probably not :) I recently discovered this "salad" combination and it's so so good! Maybe you might think it's odd to combine watermelon with feta but I promise the flavours work so well together. I think even Beyonce would approve...

June in pictures

Oops, it's been a week since I last blogged. I guess I just didn't spend as much time behind my laptop because 1) the weather is lovely 2) it's now my last week in London and 3) I spent the last few months behind my laptop working on my dissertation (I can proudly say that I'm so happy with my results, so it all paid off!) I hope I can make up for it this month with some good posts, hopefully some about travel and new adventures which I will tell you about soon. For now here's a little review of June in pictures, I can't believe how quickly time is going now! In June I spent my time in both London and Belgium, and I have a looot to show you.
