Aroma Kaffeebar | Munich

So it's the middle of the week, and in my books that means it's time to start thinking about the weekend already. Sunday brunch is one of my favourite things to do. Waking up late on a Sunday, meeting some friends, having good food and of course drink the biggest coffee.. what's not to love? I had heard many people talk about Aroma Kaffeebar in Munich, so it's one of the first brunch places I had to try out. Even though there's lots of places on my to-do list, I'm pretty sure this one will be hard to beat!
Aroma Kaffeebar is the brunch place you've always dreamed of, since 1) the food and drinks are amazing and 2) it basically feels like you're sitting in someone's living room. It's big, but there's tiny tables, trinkets and food scattered everywhere, so you don't know where to look first. It's extremely popular, but after a little wait you'll always find a table somewhere. It's a little messy and chaotic, but it gives the place so much charm.

I read about Aroma when I was researching good coffee places in Munich. After being totally coffee-spoiled by Scandinavian Embassy in Amsterdam, I've been looking for a brunch spot with excellent coffee. I can say that the cappuccinos at Aroma are great and SO pretty, look! This made me want to become a barrista and learn how to make the best latte art (we actually talked about this for ages that morning hah!)

We ordered our food at the counter and waited a little bit until they brought it. Two of us got salmon bagels, one of the best brunch foods if you ask me! This must be the best-looking bagel I've ever had. It was toasted and super tasty, but slightly too much cream cheese (nothing that can't be fixed though). The bread was really fresh and crunchy, SO good! Tackling this beast of a bagel isn't a pretty job though, so get ready to get your hands dirty (okay maybe also face)

Oh they have excellent cake too! This chocolate cake was really divine, and the perfect thing to have with an afternoon coffee and chat in the sun.

Aroma Kaffeebar is already one of my favourite places in Munich. Comfortable, cosy, good food, great coffee.. all you need is some good company and you're set for the perfect Sunday brunch/afternoon coffee!
